Tehran, Oct 12, IRNA Irans economic team, headed by Minister of Economy and Finance Ali Tayebnia and comprising a number of his deputies and MPs held intensive talks with representatives of some members of the World Bank (WB) and International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Saturday.The talks with the central bank governors of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan were held separately on the sidelines of the WB-IMF annual meeting in Washington.
The talks focused on ways of expanding mutual economic cooperation.
Outlining the new Iranian governments economic policies and priorities, Tayebnia said the government seeks to have constructive cooperation with other countries.
The sides exchanged views on ways of promoting bilateral economic activities and upgrading economic exchanges.
They also discussed impediments to economic relations, new strategies to speed up economic and commercial exchanges, and using technical and engineering potential.
Tayebnia said Iran is ready to bolster economic relations with those countries.
