
According to police, the vehicle was monitoring the sensitive sites in Quetta when some unidentified armed men on motorbike attack it by a hand grenade, injuring 15 people.
The police have cordoned off the area and started investigation.
No group has yet claimed responsibility of the attack.
Earlier some unidentified persons riding on a motorcycle had hurled a hand grenade at a plants nursery in Baloch Colony area of Quetta.
At least three persons received injuries due to the explosion. The culprits behind the crime managed to escape from the scene.
Balochistan, which borders Iran and Afghanistan, suffers from a local separatist insurgency. Apart from a long-running nationalist movement, there has also been an alarming rise in sectarian terrorism in the province recently, with ethnic and religious minorities often targeted by militants.
