Qeshm, Oct 21, IRNA Sri Lankan Ambassador to Iran Mohammad Feisal Razin on Monday described Qeshm Island as unique, saying that he found out glory of the island after a visit.
In a meeting with Qeshm governor, Masoud Salari, the ambassador said that Qeshm Island is an exceptional area for tourism, economy and natural attractions. It enjoys a huge potential to attract investment and develop tourism industry.
The envoy further noted that Irans oil and the Sri Lankan tea industries are among the suitable areas of cooperation.
Feisal Razin called for exchange experience between the two states in the fields.
Salari, for his part, introduced the islands tourism and cultural capacities and urged exchange of instructors, students and workforce.
Sri Lanka is an island country in the northern Indian Ocean off the southern coast of the Indian subcontinent in South Asia.
Known until 1972 as Ceylon, Sri Lanka has maritime borders with India to the northwest and the Maldives to the southwest.
