Tehran, Oct 30, IRNA Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif left here for Pretoria, South Africa, to attend the 11th joint economic commission of the two countries.
The meeting, co-chaired by Zarif and his South African counterpart Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, is to be held on Thursday.
During the past two days, experts of the two countries held meetings in the framework of three political, economic and energy committees. The results of the discussions will be presented to the Thursday meeting.
The 10th joint commission session was held in Tehran in 2008.
During his stay, Zarif is to meet with President Jacob Zuma.
Meanwhile, at the end of his visit to South Africa, the Iranian foreign minister will proceed to Istanbul, Turkey, on Thursday to address a conference on peace and security.
He is also to visit the capital city Ankara later in the day to review issues of mutual interest with senior Turkish officials.
