Tehran, Oct 30, IRNA Head of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Majlis Alaedin Boroujerdi said Irans peaceful nuclear activities are in full conformity with the Non-Proliferation Treaty and are supervised by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Making the remarks in a meeting with the visiting Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Boguslaw Winid, here on Wednesday, he said Iran has a stronger commitment than this international treaty to avoid producing and using nuclear arms which is the religious Fitwa issued by the Supreme Leader in this connection.
Turning to important regional issues, he said Iran has always believed there are no military solutions to the Syrian problem. Tehran maintains that the crisis in Syria should be resolved through diplomacy, he added.
The parliamentarian further noted that the wrong western policies have resulted in the growth of terrorism in the region.
He further voiced Irans readiness to help solve regional problems and bring stability and peace to Syria.
Boroujerdi described relations with Poland as growing and welcomed further expansion of political, parliamentarian, economic and cultural ties.
The polish minister pointed to long standing ties between the two countries which dated back to 540 years ago and said his country welcomed many areas of cooperation existing between the two nations.
