Istanbul, October 30, IRNA -- Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz underlined that Turkey is still willing to continue to its cooperation with Iran in the field of energy.Speaking at a conference on Europes energy issues by the Economist magazine, Yildiz pointed to Iran as one of the most important countries having rich oil and gas resources in the world, and said, Turkey will continue to its projects in energy sector.
He said that Iran is one of the five important countries that supply gas for Turkey, adding that Turkey export its major portion of oil from Iran.
The Turkish energy minister also pointed to Iraq as one of suppliers of energy to his country, and said, Turkey has signed contracts with central government of Iraq and also commercial contracts with the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
He noted that Turkeys commercial contracts with northern Iraq fall with the category of private sector and Iraq has signed energy contract with 19 countries and 39 companies.
