TEHRAN, Oct. 30 (MNA) � Iran�s minister of urban development has said Mehr Housing project will be discontinued, but �we will finish incomplete houses.�


Mehr News quoted Abbas Akhundi in the sidelines of Cabinet�s weekly sessions speaking to the reporters. �We discontinue Mehr Housing project, but we will finish only the incomplete houses,� Akhundi said, adding that �the ministry will launch the Social Housing project to provide housing for the poor.�

Mehr Housing project had been launched by Ahmadinejad�s government for houseless Iranians, but Rouhani�s government decided to discontinue it, despite initial promise to continue the project.
