Islamabad, Oct 31, IRNA A former Pakistani ambassador on Thursday said that Iran and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) had very productive talks, which is very good for the future of Iran and world peace.
Talking to IRNA former envoy to UAE, Air Marshal (Retd) Syed Qaiser Hussain said that soon Irans nuclear issue would be resolved as the West has realized that they have no choice but to accept Irans peaceful nuclear right.
No doubt the talks were successful, said the analyst.
The joint statement issued after Iran-UN nuclear watchdog talks said, Iran presented a new proposal on practical measures as a constructive contribution to strengthening co-operation and dialogue with a view to future resolution of all outstanding issues.
Syed Qaiser Hussain expressing his views said that Iran is a peace loving country and has no intention of making nuclear bombs. He was confident about the positive outcome of Irans nuclear talks.
The former diplomat said that sanctions against Iran are counterproductive as the country is progressing in all fields at a fast pace. He was of the opinion that sanctions should be lifted from Iran as a trust building measure.
He praised the steadfastness of the people and government of Iran.
Hussain added that Iran and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) had very constructive talks, which is very good for the future of Iran and peace of the world.
The expert said that it is encouraging to see that West has engaged Iran in talks to settle disputes. He strongly believed that the dialogue between Iran and western powers must continue to resolve issues.
West must respect Irans basic rights, he stressed.
The analyst went on to say that the time has come for US to stop pursuing policy of double standards against Iran.
Syed Qaiser Hussain has served as acting chief of the Pakistan Air Force. After retirement he was appointed as Pakistans ambassador to UAE.
