TEHRAN (Tasnim) Parliaments National Security and Foreign Policy Commission will investigate assassination of Zabol prosecutor in its next session and might send a delegation to southeast Iran for further inquiry, the commissions rapporteur said Wednesday.
The National Security and Foreign Policy Commission will seriously look into different aspects of the assasination of Zabol prosecutor, Seyed Hossein Naqavi Hosseini told the Tasnim News Agency.
The commission may, in its Sunday session, also decide to send a delegation to the area to study different dimensions of the incident in detail, addedNaqavi Hosseini.
Prosecutor of Zabol in southeastern city, along with his driver, was assassinated on Wednesday morning.
Zabol is a small town in Irans southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan, close to the border with Afghanistan.
Nouri and his driver were reportedly shot by a Kalashnikov assault rifle when they were driving to the citys court at 8 am local time.
Ebrahim Hamidi, head of provincial justice department, dismissed any link between the recent incidents and assasination of Mousa Nouri.
On October 25, armed bandits, entering from Pakistani territory, attacked an Iranian border post near the city of Saravan in southeast of the country, killing 14 border guards and injuring six others.
