Trilateral meeting among the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, EU foreign policy chief, Catherine Ashton, and the US Secretary of State John Kerry begins in Geneva as talks over Tehran nuclear energy program continue.The trilateral meeting comes after Zarif and Ashton held talks for the seventh time in four days of the ongoing nuclear talks in the Swiss city.
Earlier in the day, Ashton had also held a one-on-one meeting with Kerry.
Iran and the six world powers - the US, France, Britain, Russia, China and Germany - began their latest round of talks on Wednesday. The present round of talks was scheduled to end on Friday, but was extended into Saturday.
The two sides are working to hammer out an interim deal to pave the ground for final resolution of the Wests decade-old dispute with Iran over its nuclear energy program.
Saturday talks aim to narrow the remaining gaps and finalize a nuclear deal between the two sides, which fell through in the last round of talks a fortnight ago.
So far, foreign ministers of all the six countries negotiating with Iran have joined the talks in Geneva.
On Friday, Zarif said there has been a 90-percent progress in the course of the nuclear negotiations between Iran and the sextet of world powers.
