Tehran, Nov 28, IRNA Italian Ambassador to Tehran Luca Giansanti met the visiting veteran stars of the AC Milan soccer team at a Tehran hotel on Wednesday evening.
Attending their residence, Giansanti welcomed the Italian football players while they were dining at the hotel?s resturant.
The ambassador also held talks with chairman of the famous Persepolis club Mohammad Royanian who was also present in the hotel.
The veteran stars of AC Milan soccer team arrived in Tehran on Wednesday to play a friendly game with their counterparts from the Tehran?s reds (Persepolis footballers).
The play is to take place at Tehran?s 100,000-seat Azadi stadium on Thursday, Nov 28, afternoon.
The Italian players are in Tehran upon an invitation of the Persepolis club.
Speaking to reporters upon his arrival in Tehran, Paolo Cesare Maldini the former captain of AC Milan expressed hope that the two teams would have a ?good play.?
Expressing satisfaction over their visit to Tehran, Maldini said he is sure the Italian footballers would have good times in the Iranian capital.
