Tehran, Dec 21, IRNA � Iranian youth studying abroad can apply for reduced military service after graduation, an official with Presidential Office said on Saturday.

Advisor to the High Council of Iranians Affairs Abroad Ali-Reza Rajaei told IRNA that the students studying inside Iran are given reduced military service in return for research studies and the High Council at the Presidential Office has decided to apply the same privilege to the students studying abroad.


He said that the High Council of Iranians Affairs Abroad has presented the plan to the respective officials to get authorization from the department of military service affiliated to the Armed Forces.

?As soon as we get acceptance of the department of military service, Iranian students studying abroad will undergo reduced military service, if they present their research projects, the privilege the students enjoy inside the country.?
