Iran, Russia stress speeding up energy cooperation

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanaie and Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak called for stepping up the process of implementing energy agreements.
During the meeting held in Moscow, Sanaie expressed willingness of Iran's oil and energy sectors for energy cooperation with Russia, investment on oil and gas fields, import and export of oil equipment and finalization of economic agreements.

Novak, for his part, expressed the hope that trade and financial exchanges between the two sides would expand further.

He also said Russia is keen for trading with Iran on oil, gas and refinery equipment, and expressed the hope that Iran would send delegations to Russia to discuss implementation of economic deals and ways for the further expansion of business cooperation.
