Tehran, Jan 18, IRNA Police Chief Brigadier General Esmail Ahmadi Moqaddam said Saturday that ensuring security and fighting against cyber crimes were in line with defending the country?s independence.
According to the police website on Saturday, Ahmadi Moqaddam made the remarks at a local ceremony.
In recent years, cyber space and communication technologies have affected the human life in the cultural, economic and political arenas, said the brigadier general.
Noting that the nature of cyber crimes was changing, he said modern methods have been invented for cyber crimes.
Pointing to high capability of Iran?s cyber police (FATA), Ahmadi Moqaddam said it has made remarkable achievements in the field of fighting cyber crimes.
