Gas services back to normal

TEHRAN Feb 07 (Shana): Gas supply has been back to normal in four corners of the country and all the people have access to natural gas including those areas affected by cold weather in northern and western provinces of the country.
NIGCs spokesman, Majid Boujarzadeh told Shana that all gas users have now access to gas which is mainly the result of good cooperation from the people who reduced gas consumption in order to help NIGC to provide gas to those provinces faced falling gas pressure.

Now gas pressure is desirable and all the subscribers have access to natural gas including in Mazandaran, Kordestan and West and East Azerbaijan provinces, Boujarzadeh said.

Despite restoration of normal situation, Boujarzadeh called on people to continue saving gas consumption in order to help the country to leave behind cold air.

The National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) warned on Tuesday against record high gas consumption stating gas supply may be interrupted in parts of the country if current level of consumption to be continued.

Household sectors gas consumption stood at 518 mcm on Monday, up by 27 mcm against a day earlier.

NIGC authorities declared gas consumption has hit new records this winter and called consumers in all provinces to take reducing gas consumption serious and help the company to be able to provide gas to areas located at the end of gas pipeline network facing the problem of falling gas pressure.

On Monday, low gas pressure interrupted gas supply temporarily to some cities in Mazandaran and Kordestan provinces in north and west of the country.
