TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari arrived in the Iranian capital on Tuesday to discuss a range of issues, including the latest regional developments, with the Iranian high-ranking officials.
During his stay in Tehran, the Iraqi minister is scheduled to hold meetings with President Hassan Rouhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
Zebari is also expected to meet Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani this evening.
According to reports, the visiting Iraqi foreign minister will confer with the Iranian authorities on Tehran-Baghdad bilateral relations, as well as the regional and the international developments.
Earlier on January 14, Irans Foreign Minister Zarif had also paid an official visit to Iraq, during which he pledged Tehrans support for Baghdad in its campaign against terrorism.
In his visit to Iraq, the Iranian top diplomat had separate meetings with his Iraqi counterpart Zebari, Iraqs Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and Parliament Speaker Osama al-Nujaifi.
