TEHRAN, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- Iran's national soccer team will hold a training camp scheduled for April, an official from Iran Football Federation was quoted as saying by Tehran Times daily on Wednesday.
The country's soccer team will play four friendly matches during camping, said Mehdi Mohammad-Nabi, the secretary of the Iran Football Federation.
"Iran will play four friendly matches against the South African football clubs in the camp in its preparation for the 2014 World Cup," he said.
The Asian heavyweight will also play Guinea on March 5, Belarus on May 18 and Montenegro on May 26.
Carlos Queiroz's team is also scheduled a friendly on June 8 in Sao Paolo, Brazil against Trinidad and Tobago just before the start of the FIFA World Cup.
Iran has been drawn in Group F of the 2014 World Cup along with Nigeria, Argentina and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Iran will face Nigeria on June 16 in Curitiba's Arena da Baixada.
