Tehran, Feb 15, IRNA Senior official at Iran?s Civil Aviation Organization has announced that Tehran-Vienna direct flight would be resumed on March 12 after a year-long delay.

Deputy Head of Iran?s Civil Aviation Organization Mohammad Khodakarami said that direct flight between Iran and Austria has been stopped since the beginning of the 2013 due to some financial problems with the Austrian part. Since then, Iran?s national airline, IranAir, has unilaterally continued transportation of passengers between the two capitals.

According to recent arrangement made between Iranian and Austrian aviation organizations Tehran-Vienna direct flight will systematically be carried out fifth times a week.

Khodakarami added resumption of Tehran-Vienna direct flight would enable passengers to have an stopover in Vienna in their transcontinental flights.
