An Iranian lawmaker says leads to the recent terrorist attacks against Iran should be sought in the United States and the Israeli regime.
Pointing to the two recent bomb attacks targeting the Iranian cultural center in the Lebanese capital of Beirut, Hossein Naqavi Hosseini, the spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Irans Majlis, said that the al-Qaeda terrorist group carries out terror activities in the region to undermine the resistance front.
He said terrorist groups aim to abuse the potential of the Islamic countries that can be used in the fight against the Israeli regime to harm Irans interests.
The clues in the anti-Iran terrorist activities should be sought in the Zionist regime (Israel) and the US since they seek to break the resistance front through undermining Irans position in the region, he added.
At least five people were killed and several others injured in the two bomb attacks in south of Beirut on Wednesday.
The al-Qaeda-linked Abdullah Azzam Brigades claimed responsibility for the bombings.
The Lebanese capital has been repeatedly hit by similar terrorist attacks in recent months.
Last November, twin bomb attacks outside the Iranian Embassy in the Lebanese capital also killed 25 people and injured more than 150. Irans Cultural Attach to Beirut Hojjatoleslam Ebrahim Ansari was among the dead. The Abdullah Azzam Brigades also claimed responsibility for these bombings.
The groups Saudi leader Majid al-Majid was arrested in early January and died days later in a Lebanese hospital.
