Nasim� Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders�told journalist that his country and EU support Iran�s participation in talks over Syria�s crisis.
However, the UN has withdrawn an invitation for Iran to the January 22 Geneva 2 peace conference after American and French officials explicitly opposed Iran�s attendance in the talks.

Speaking in a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart here in Tehran, Reynders�stressed that EU welcomes Iran efforts in aiding Afghan asylum seekers.

He noted Iran�s crucial role in solving the regional crisis, adding that Iran has be successful in fighting drugs.
