
Hassan Danaifar told Mehr News that Iran would address any proposal by Iraqi government to purchase weapons. He was reacting to the concerns voiced by the US over Iraq�s arms deal with Iran. �No such deal has been signed,� he added, �if Iraqis proposed to sign an agreement, Iran would address the issue.�
Reuters reported yesterday that Iran and Iraq had signed an arms deal worth $ 195 million in last November. Asked whether Iraqi foreign minister would visit Tehran, he told that Hoshyar Zebari would visit Tehran to solve issues of Arvand River. �The legal process has finished and both sides will discuss the implementation,� Danaifar added.
