Tehran, March 6, IRNA Cuban Ambassador to Tehran Vladimir Gonzalez announced that the upcoming visit of Iran?s parliamentary delegation to Havana will expedite the expansion of ties between the two countries, specially in parliamentary field.
?The Iranian parliamentary delegation to Cuba to be headed by Chairman of Iranian Parliament?s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi will arrive in Havana tomorrow (on Thursday),? Gonzalez said on the sidelines of a painting competition held on the occasion of 1st death anniversary of late Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez in Tehran on Wednesday.
The Cuban envoy noted that the Iranian parliamentary delegation?s visit takes place for expansion and reinvigoration of bilateral ties.
?He (Boroujerdi) will meet with several Cuban parliamentary officials during which there will be many opportunities for the expansion of ties between the two countries and consultation on different projects,? Gonzalez said.
The Cuban ambassador underlined that Iran-Cuba relations are in the best conditions, and said, ?We are very satisfied with the broadening of Iran-Cuba ties and the relations are enhancing.?
Gonzalez said he would do all within his power to upgrade mutual ties in economic and commercial domains between the two friendly nations.
Iran has sought to expand ties and cooperation with the Latin American states in the recent years.
