Addressing a gathering in Jakarta on Friday before ending his visit to Indonesia, Zarif stressed that no military intervention could help solve the Syrian crisis.
The foreign minister underlined that nobody outside Syria could ever force the nation to choose who and how should lead the country.
Outlining Irans policies on Syria, Zarif said Tehran acted on the view that only the Syrian nation is to make decisions about its future and other countries have no right to decide on their behalf.
