TEHRAN (ISNA)- Deputy Head of Hormozgan Ports and Maritime Organization Ali Estiri announced that the volume of non-oil goods transit in trade ports of the southern Iranian port rose by 104 percent over the past 11 Iranian months (started on March 21).
"Since beginning of this year 87.858.933 tons of oil and non-oil goods were loaded and unloaded by trade ports of the province (Hormozgan), showing four percent rise comparing to similar period last year," he said.
He added out of the whole operations conducted in Hormozgan Province ports 58.336.920 tons were non-oil goods and 29.522.013 tons were oil goods, both raising by 4 percent in terms of volume.
Estiri continued that the volume of non-oil goods transit totaled 2.137.337 tons over the past 11 months, rising by 104 percent comparing to similar period last year.
He also said Hormozgan Province's non-oil exports increased by 26 percent, totaling 28.427.071 tons.
According to Estiri, Iran's non-oil imports reached 14.263.000 tons during the same period, decreasing by 22 percent.
The Iranian official also said that Iran exported 8.924.736 million tons of oil derivatives though oil terminals of the province.
