Larijani: Iran keen on long-term economic cooperation with Belarus

Tehran, March 17, IRNA Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Monday that the Islamic Republic of Iran is keen on long-term economic cooperation with Belarus in light of the current friendly relations.
Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with Belarus Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei in Tehran.

Larijani said Iranian and Belarus leaders are determined for all-out expansion of cooperation.

He underlined the current excellent ties with Belarus on political, economic, industrial fields as well as the parliamentary cooperation.

He said that industrialists of Iran and Belarus are required to get acquainted with capacities of the either side to develop cooperation.

Larijani said there are many industrial, economic and technological capacity available in Iran and Belarus that Iranian and Belarus private sectors should have knowledge about.

He said that insecurity and drug trafficking are the menaces for international cooperation, calling for campaign against the two important global intricacies.

He underlined implementation of the contracts already reached between Iran and Belarus and full commissioning of the projects.

Makei said for his part that the Islamic Republic of Iran is an important and influential country in the region and Belarus shares common views on global issues with Iran on existence of multi-polar world.

Such common views have made the regular and constant consultations between the senior officials of the two countries an imperative.

The sanctions on Iran are unfair and Belarus companies have always been favoring active presence in Iranian market and expansion of bilateral relations, he added.

He underlined regular talks on regional developments, especially crisis in Ukraine.
