Iranian films go on screen at Cannes film market
A number of Iranian cinematic productions have been introduced at the 2014 Cannes Film Market (March du Film) to represent the countrys film industry.

Winners of the 32nd Iran's Fajr film festival, 30th Tehrans International Short Film Festival and Irans Seventh Cinema Vrit International Documentary Film Festival attended this years Cannes film festival.

Narges Abyar (director ofTrack 143), Mostafa Kiaei (director ofSpecial Line), Ahmad Reza Darvish (director ofResurrection), Houman Seyyedi (director ofThirteen) and Morteza Razzaq Karimi (director ofMemories for all Seasons) are among the lists entries.

Tomarrow,Tragedy,Angels Come Together,Azar, Shahdokht, Parviz and Othersare also among the film lineup in the Market.

The Cannes Film Market (March du Film) is the biggest event in the international film industry and a unique opportunity in which the filmmakers, producers, writers can meet, discover, trade, negotiate, buy, and sell the productions of the film industry.

March du Film was established in 1959 and has been held annually since then, simultaneously with the Cannes Festival.

World-famous Iranian actress Leila Hatami attended the 2014 edition of the festival to serve at the jury panel of the event.

Hatami is to collaborate with Sofia Coppola (American director), Willem Dafoe (American actor), Carole Bouquet (French actress) and Gael Garcia Bernal (Mexican filmmaker) at the jury panel of the Competitive section of this years festival.

Other jury members are South Korean actress Jeon Do-yeon and Danish director and producer Nicolas Winding Refn.

The 67th annual Cannes Film Festival kicked off on May 14 and will run until May 25 in the southern France resort town.
