A Look at Iranian Newspaper Front Pages on May 7

IFP has taken a look at the front pages of Iranian newspapers on Saturday and picked headlines from 28 of them. IFP has simply translated the headlines and does not vouch for their accuracy.

On Saturday, almost all Iranian newspapers covered the remarks by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, at a gathering of Islamic countries ambassadors.

They also focused on President Hassan Rouhanis controversial criticism of Revolutionary Islam idea, vis--vis his preferred idea of Islamic Revolution, publishing a variety of reactions, including calling Islam a religion both for struggle and for life.

The most important regional development, the resignation of Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu after his quarrel with President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an, was also a hot topic in many newspapers.
