Iran entitled to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes: Analyst

Islamabad, Aug 17, IRNA A Pakistani analyst on Saturday said that Iran being the signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) is entitled to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes.
Talking to IRNA Saqib Akbar said that Iran is fully cooperating with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding their nuclear program. He added that Iran must be facilitated to pursue its peaceful nuclear activities.

He said that Iran has allowed the IAEA inspectors to inspect its nuclear installations as it has nothing to hide.

But the problem with West is that they cannot accept the nuclear program of an independent Muslim country, the analyst viewed.

Saqib Akbar expressing his views said that western states have not been able to find evidence against peaceful nature of Irans nuclear program. He said US and some western states are openly violating the NPT by putting unjustified pressure on Iran.

He said that Iran is an independent sovereign state and has refused to accept the American hegemony in the world.

The analyst went on to say that western states want Iran to follow their dictations in international politics.

He said that Iran has not recognized the illegitimate Zionist regime and has not allowed US and west to capture its resources which they cannot tolerate.

Saqib Akbar asked why US is not worried about the nuclear program of the Zionist regime which is military oriented. He added that there are reports that the Zionist regime has more than 100 nuclear bombs.

US instead of banning the Zionist regimes nuclear activities is assisting its nuclear program, he said.

The analyst was confident that US conspiracies against Iran will fail. He added that Iran has become a symbol of resistance in the world.

He was of the opinion that western sanctions on Iran are baseless and unjustified. The intellectual added that dialogue between Iran and western states must continue but it should be unconditional.

He said that the irrational behavior of US has damaged the reputation of UN and other international organizations. He strongly believed that West must hold a dialogue with Iran with an open mind.
