Almost 60 percent of Americans back the Iran nuclear agreement, but remains skeptical whether it will deliver the desired results for which it was reached, according to a new ABC News/Washington Post poll released on Monday.
WASHINGTON (Sputnik)�� The poll found that only 35 percent of�Americans are confident the nuclear agreement will prevent Iran from�acquiring a nuclear weapon.
�Americans by�a broad 19-point margin [56 to�37 percent] support the nuclear deal with�Iran announced last week, even as�two-thirds� express skepticism it�ll work,� the poll results said.
Earlier on�Monday, the UN Security Council unanimously adopted a resolution concerning the nuclear deal between�Iran and the P5+1 group of�countries comprising of�the United States, Russia, China, France and the United States plus Germany.
President Barack Obama said the UN Security Council�s unanimous approval of�the resolution shows the nuclear agreement is the best way to�prevent Tehran from�acquiring a nuclear weapon.
