TEHRAN Sept. 22 (Shana) -- Operator of Phase 19 development of South Pars gas field says SPD 19C platform of the phase is now complete and 500 million cubic feet/day of the phase's sweet gas will be injected to the national gas trunkline for meeting the domestic demand for gas supplies in the cold.
Hamid-Reza Masoudi said the platform will be loaded from Khorramshahr Yard up to November to be installed in its place at Phase 19's C spot.
The 19C platform can recover one billion cubic feet of gas on a daily basis. Besides, it can deliver the gas recovered by the nearby SPD2 platform to the onshore sweetening installations of phase 19.
Masoudi further said operations for laying 32-inch pipes for delivering the phase's gas to onshore refinery facilities as well as 18-inch pipes for linking Phase 19 to the nearby phases of the supergiant gas field will be completed by late December.
A total of 21 wells in Phase 19 would produce 2 bcf of gas.
Phase 19 of South Pars is more than 85% complete and two refining trains of this phase are to be launched this year.
Phase 19 is under development for the production of 56 mcm/d of sour gas to be transformed into 50 mcm/d of sweet gas, 550 tons a day of ethane, 2,000 tons a day of propane, 1,200 tons a day of butane, 80,000 b/d of gas condensate and 400 tons a day of sulfur.
Completion of the phase was awarded by Pars Oil and Gas Company in 2006 under an EPC contract to a Petropars-led consortium of Petropars Limited and Petropars Iran and IOEC in June 2010 under an engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) contract.
Petropars Limited and Petropars Iran are responsible for onshore installations and drilling operations.
