Iranian border guards have arrested 10 members of terrorist groups who were attempting to infiltrate into the country through eastern and western borders, Irans police chief Brigadier General Hossein Ashtari says.
Outlaws and anti-revolutiongroups have been making movementsin border regionsinrecent months and we took pre-emptive and preventivemeasures to counter these anti-revolutiongroups, he told reporters on Monday.
He added that the terrorists failed to sneak into the country.
The police chief emphasized that Iran has a satisfactorysecurity situation and expressed hope that the country would improve border security in cooperation with neighboring states.
