Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad�s behavior at Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez�s funeral displeased Iran�s conservative Muslim leaders.



According to Iranian media, the fact that Ahmadinejad hugged Chavez�s grieving mother caused a storm of controversy among Muslim leaders.

The clerics from the Kum Religious Centre described the Iranian President�s action as �inappropriate.�

The publication of a photo that shows the President consoling Chavez�s mother triggered criticism.

The conservative clergy have also condemned the Iranian President for his eulogy of Chavez where he called Chavez a martyr and said he �will come again to redeem mankind.�
