In a report published on Wednesday, the Iranian newspaper said that the Chairman of the Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko, visited Tehran on Sunday and Monday where she held talks about �Russia�s desire to use the Iranian airbase again.� No further details were provided.

According to Iran�s ISNA news agency, permission is �likely� to be given. However, neither the Iranian nor Russian authorities were available to comment on the report.
