IRNA - An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale jolted the city of Mehran in western province of Ilam on Wednesday.

According to the Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the tremor occurred at 11:16 hours local time (07:46 GMT Wednesday) in an area located at 46.29 degrees longitude and 32.80 degrees latitude and in the depth of 11 kilometers.

There is no immediate report on possible casualties or damages.
