MNA � The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi has offered congratulations to Brazil on presidential elections, expressing hope that bilateral relations would further develop under the new leadership.

In a Monday statement, Bahram Ghasemi welcomed the presidential elections in Brazil, saying �we offer congratulations to the Brazilian government and people on the successful holding of the presidential elections in the Federative Republic of Brazil, and we wish success to Brazil�s president-elect."

Ghasemi added that Iran and Brazil have a 118-year history of bilateral relations, which have constantly been growing and consolidated.
